President, Health Net Health Plan of Oregon, Inc.

Chris Ellertson is president of Health Net Health Plan of Oregon, Inc., a subsidiary of Health Net, Inc. He assumed this role in October 2007, after serving as the regional health plan officer for Health Net of Oregon. He provides strategic direction and overall leadership for the company. Mr. Ellertson also has served as director of Strategic Business Development and vice president of Network Management and Business Strategy during his tenure at Health Net.

Prior to joining Health Net in 2002, Mr. Ellertson served as chief operating officer for United Health Network, a division of Adventist Medical Center, where he was responsible for contracting and managed care functions. He has more than 15 years of managed health care industry experience.

Mr. Ellertson holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland. He is active in the Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
