Chief Actuarial Officer
Rich Hall is the chief actuarial officer of Health Net, Inc. Mr. Hall joined the company in February 2010, and he assumed his current title in August 2010. As chief actuary, he is responsible for Pricing, Reserving and Underwriting for the Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid product lines. Mr. Hall also leads Health Net’s Commercial Insurance Reform Committee.
In March 2013, Mr. Hall added Data Analytics to his responsibilities.
Mr. Hall is an actuary with more than 25 years experience in the health care industry. He has cross-functional experience in actuarial, sales, underwriting and consulting/strategic planning. Mr. Hall’s previous employers include John Alden, Towers Perrin, Cigna and WellPoint. Prior to joining Health Net, he worked at WellPoint for nearly 10 years in a variety of executive positions in Actuarial, Sales and Underwriting.
Mr. Hall has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
