Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller
Marie Montgomery is senior vice president and corporate controller of Health Net, Inc. Ms. Montgomery is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting, strategic and financial planning and related activities for Health Net.
Ms. Montgomery joined the company in 2008 as chief financial officer of the Health Plan Division, and she assumed her current title in March 2010. As CFO of the Health Plan Division, Ms. Montgomery was responsible for all financial planning and performance reporting for the Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid product lines.
Before joining Health Net, Ms. Montgomery was senior vice president, controller and treasurer at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Inc. in Wellesley, Mass. During her career, she has held management positions with for profit and nonprofit payors, primarily in the Northeast. Ms. Montgomery began her career more than 20 years ago at Deloitte & Touche serving health care and insurance clients.
Ms. Montgomery has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from Queens College in New York and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs.
