Senior Vice President, Organization Effectiveness

Karin Mayhew is senior vice president, Organization Effectiveness for Health Net, Inc. She is responsible for strategy, policy development and administration of all aspects of human resources, including compensation, benefits, performance evaluation and rewards, staffing, equal employment and diversity, development, organization effectiveness and change management.

Prior to joining the company in April 1999, Ms. Mayhew served as senior vice president, Organization Development for Southern New England Telecommunications Corporation. There she was responsible for human resources, labor relations and organizational effectiveness. In addition, Ms. Mayhew was responsible for the corporate restructure into wholesale and retail businesses and served as a member of the merger due diligence and integration team.

Ms. Mayhew held senior positions in a variety of areas in telecommunications for more than 20 years.

Ms. Mayhew received a master’s degree from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn., and a Bachelor of Arts from Marymount College at Fordham University, New York. She also completed the Smith College Management Program and the University of Michigan’s Advanced Human Resources Executive Program. Ms. Mayhew has been a lecturer at the Center for Executive Education, Babson College, Wellesley, Mass.
