Jim Woys is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Health Net, Inc. He assumed responsibility for all operational matters of the company, including the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business, as well as the Health Plans and Government Programs division and all company administrative functions, in November 2008.
Mr. Woys was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer in November 2007, and was accountable for a broad range of operations, including claims processing, membership and billing, call centers, information technology, the company’s Internet activities, health care cost data analytics, and pharmacy management. He had responsibility for three business units: Health Net Federal Services (HNFS), the government operations division; MHN, Health Net’s behavioral health subsidiary; and Health Net Pharmaceutical Services (HNPS), the company’s internal pharmacy benefit manager. Mr. Woys is a member of Health Net’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Woys joined Foundation Health Corporation, a predecessor company of Health Net, in 1986.
Prior to joining Health Net, Mr. Woys was a consultant at Arthur Andersen/ PriceWaterhouse.
Mr. Woys earned his MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Arizona State University.
